For our design of the three Wyrd sisters, we chose to used the description from Banquo and Macbeth which told us they were fantastical scary creatures rather than human women. They told us the Wyrd sisters were connected to the elements of Earth, Water and Wind and we know from elsewhere in the play that they each have an animal familiar which it is believed they could shapeshift into. We combined this information into forming our creatures you will see in the film.

We also created voices which reflected both the elements and the creature familiars. And we encouraged our Wyrd Sisters to talk in riddles with prophecy...
